About the project
Full civil scope for a major secondary school addition in Surrey, from bulk excavation and a large stormwater detention tank to new frontage works.
The addition sits beside the school's sports field. Before the building could go up, the site needed bulk excavation, new deep utilities and a way to hold back stormwater on site.
The centrepiece is an underground detention tank. We excavated the pit, placed the liner and built the tank from modular chambers, then installed the flow control manholes that meter water back into the city system.
Onsite and offsite work continues around the occupied school, with fire and domestic water, BC Hydro and electrical, curb, sidewalks and paving.
